TFS-ICAP Sponsors Liverpool Tennis Tournament for Second Successive Year

NEW YORK, April 17, 2007 - United Kingdom's blue chip summer sports event, The Liverpool Tennis Tournament, will be held from June 12-17, 2007, in Calderstones Park, Liverpool. After a successful year of tennis sponsorship in 2006, TFS-ICAP today announced its commitment to the sport by sponsoring the event for the second consecutive year.

"TFS-ICAP is proud to be the official sponsor of the Liverpool Tennis Tournament in its sixth year of operation. We are pleased to announce confirmed participation from Bjorn Borg, who will play doubles with tennis legends Mansour Bahrami, Cédric Pioline and Pete McNamara as well as a singles match against ’87 Wimbledon champion, Pat Cash," commented David Pinchin, CEO of TFS. "Also confirmed in March were former British number one, Greg Rusedski, and world number 14, David Ferrer. The Liverpool Tennis Tournament is one of United Kingdom’s biggest tennis events with extensive media exposure – reaching our customers and tens of thousands of tennis fans around the globe," continued Mr. Pinchin.

Anders Borg, Tournament Director, said, "I am delighted with the line-up for this year and I believe the caliber of players is our best to date. Sponsorship from global organizations such as TFS-ICAP is essential to the tournament, and we are delighted they are onboard this year."

In the men's event, Vince Spadea of the United States will be competing and returning for his fifth consecutive year as will crowd favorite, world number 82, Robert Kendrick, who, after last year’s tournament, went on to Wimbledon to put on the performance of his lifetime taking Rafael Nadal to five sets in front of a packed centre court in the second round at the All England Club.

The WTA event is also taking shape with last year's winner and 2006 Wimbledon Junior Champion, Caroline Wozniacki, returning to defend her title and American Ashley Harkleroad returning to try and take it away from her.
